I am Yusa Kurkcu, an architecture student at the University of Colorado Denver, originally from Cyprus. My journey in architecture has been shaped by a deep passion for sustainability and innovative design. With a background in Revit, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro, I have had the privilege to work on a variety of projects, ranging from mixed-use buildings to sustainable designs that integrate the latest technologies.
Driven by creativity, I strive to bring ideas to life in ways that balance functionality, aesthetics, and environmental responsibility. I believe in creating designs that not only meet the needs of today but also preserve the world for future generations. My goal is to contribute to the field of architecture with designs that inspire and support sustainable living.

MIXED USED BUILDING IN ISTANBUL
In this project, I designed a mixed-use development located in Istanbul, focusing on integrating the environmental, social, and contextual aspects of the site. The project combines residential, commercial, and public spaces, creating a dynamic environment for both work and leisure. The design features a variety of spaces, including retail areas, offices, communal gathering zones, and recreational facilities such as a gym, food courts, and a library. The project emphasizes sustainable design principles, effi- cient space usage, and accessibility, ensuring a balance between functionality and aesthetics. This final project reflects my ability to address complex design challenges while considering the urban fabric and the needs of diverse user groups.

TECH PLAYGROUND
This project creates a dynamic community space blending innovation and recreation. Our vision is to build a connected, inclusive community where technology transforms lives and fosters sustainability and collaboration. Key features include interactive learning, inclusive tech workshops, collaborative innovation spaces, virtual community engagement, accessible technology, and tech-enhanced art programs. Participants can develop skills, collaborate, and explore new creative possibilities through technology. Tech Playground aims to provide a sustainable and innovative space for community growth and collaboration.

SAFE PLACE
This project is designed to create a safe, peaceful, and sustainable environment for children who sur vived leukemia. Spanning a total of 1,225 m2, the facility includes spaces such as activity rooms, coun- seling rooms, a physiotherapy room, a blood donation area, a library, a café, and a multi-purpose hall. The design prioritizes harmony with nature, simplicity, and self-sufficiency, integrating features like a green roof and a central open courtyard.
